Towards a Health research and innovation Cloud: Capitalising on data sharing initiatives in health research

OBJECTIVES

Design an implementation roadmap and strategic agenda for a one-stop-shop health research and innovation cloud in Europe
Overcoming ethical, legal and administrative barriers of a borderless sharing of human data in Europe, to enable efficient support for research with full endorsement of citizens’ rights and interests.
Provide guidelines and best practices to enable accessing, using and reusing health data for better research outcomes across Europe
Drive the adoption of mechanisms for the sustainable use of European computational capabilities including both Cloud and High Performance Computing

ROLES

Identify computational needs to enable data-centric health research in an ethically sound and legally compliant manner
Facilitate the mechanisms for distributed data access and analytics
Capture functional requirements for a real-world research question (on atrial fibrillation) whose answer require the linkage of health research data, clinical data and administrative data
