On March 4th, 2025, our BCN-AIM leader and ICREA Professor Karim Lekadir, took the stage at the Mobile World Congress Barcelona – one of the world’s largest gatherings of tech leaders, policymakers, and innovators.

He was invited at the Biocat, BioRegion of Catalonia & TIC Salut Social Foundation stand to discuss: “How to Build Trustworthy, Ready-to-Deploy AI Tools in Healthcare: The FUTURE-AI Guideline.” (BMJ article).

It was truly exciting to see AI ethics and the FUTURE-AI guidelines take the spotlight at such a major event! The BCN-AIM team was there to support and spread the message about FUTURE-AI, and we were blown away by the incredible innovations and start-ups showcased.
