On 25 and 26 March 2025, we gathered at Hospital Universitari Vall d’Hebron in Barcelona for an insightful 2-day DataTools4Heart meeting!
The second phase of DataTools4Heart
DataTools4Heart is coordinated by Universitat de Barcelona and is tackling one of the biggest challenges in cardiology research – the integration of diverse clinical data while ensuring privacy and security. The project is developing a federated AI-powered toolbox that allows clinicians and researchers to access and analyze structured data without needing programming skills or sharing sensitive information.
The event marked a crucial milestone as we transition into the second phase of this groundbreaking project. Read more about the latest updates in the press release here.
The DataTools4Heart consortium meeting
During the meeting, we discussed the progress made so far and the next steps, which include refining and expanding the AI-powered toolbox that will support the healthcare community in analyzing clinical data while maintaining privacy and security.
We want to thank all partners and our BCN-AIM team members – Karim Lekadir, Xènia Puig Bosch, Grzegorz Skorupko, Cristian Izquierdo, and Jorge Fabila – for their valuable contributions and continued dedication.
